PHS Male athlete of the year: Hunter Lukacs-Hitz

Hunter Lukacs-Hitz, winner of the Top Senior Male Athlete award at Pontiac High School (PHS) for the 2019-2020 year, pictured holding the award. One of Lukacs-Hitz’s top accomplishments throughout his athletic endeavors was setting a class record for jumping 162 cm, or 5 feet, 3.75 inches. According to his father Robert Hitz, Lukacs-Hitz also broke the grade nine beep test record, was a three-time regional hockey champion for the Pontiac Lions and went to hockey provincials three times. Lukacs-Hitz said he enjoyed his time at PHS and thanked his teammates and coaches for all their contributions to his experience.
