Campbell’s Bay girl takes on 100 km virtual ski challenge

Katelyn Betrand, right, and Erin Whyte, left, pose as they tackle a virtual 100 km challenge for the Canadian Ski Marathon, which would have normally been held in person north of the Ottawa River in February. Bertrand, a Campbell’s Bay native and a grade 11 student at Ecole Secondaire Sieur de Coulonge, and Whyte, her godmother, tackled 50km a day from Feb. 19-20 whilte hitting the trails at Forest Lea in Pembroke. She said tht the challenge was a lot of fun for her and she’d love to do it again going forward. “It was amazing to do it, and the food was good after,” she told The Equity. Facebook photo
