It started innocently, almost imperceptibly, but it happened. Just a very small stray cat, near death, came to live with me. She never jumped on the furniture, mostly rested beneath my old rocking chair. But, slowly, changes have happened, and now she runs the house. Toy mice everywhere, special eating habits, and she even sleeps with me in my bed.
No surprise really. This is the way life goes. You take a step in a direction or introduce something new into your life and all seems well. You don’t know where it will lead, but change happens. Sometimes it’s good sometimes not. But, if we don’t see the change as good, we can do something. We can pray and ask the Lord for wisdom to find another way. Nothing is impossible with God. Even the worst situation can be rectified, with love and wisdom and effort.
