A summer-long season for Les Maisone du Jeunes softball league came to an end last Thursday.
In all, 365 kids participated in 29 teams. Two of the winning teams were on hand to receive their winning flags.
Funding for balls and bats was provided by the Canadian Tire jumpstart program. Chris Beimers from Shawville Canadian Tire was on hand to celebrate the end of season with kids, coaches and organizers from Les Maison des Jeunes du Pontiac.
Winners are as follows:
- Category: 4-5-6 years old – All champions!
- Category: 7-8-9 years old – Campbell’s Bay (3), coach Lindsay Frost
- Category: 10-11-12-13 years… Campbell’s Bay (6) – coach Mallory Corriveau
- Category: 14-15-16-17 years… Fort-Coulonge / Mansfield (2) coach Debbie Ladouceur.
