On Saturday night, members of the Shawville Clarendon Fire Department gathered at . . .

Hursty’s Restaurant in Shawville for their Christmas banquet. 

The evening was attended by members of the department and their families, as well as several members of council.  

Following supper, the department honoured several firefighters for their hard work over the past year. 

First up was the Bill Black Memorial Firefighter of the Year award. This year’s recipients were Tim O’Malley and Brad Peck. 

In addition, Lieutenant Vaughan Bastien was honoured with a plaque for his 15 years of service.
