THE EQUITY
On Friday, Gail and Brock Sharpe set up a booth in Uniprix Ahmad Hassan Pharmacy in Shawville to educate people about carcinoid neuroendocrine tumours (CNETs), a rare type of cancer that Brock was diagnosed with back in August. He explained that their goal was to raise awareness about the disease, which is often misdiagnosed. The display was in conjunction with NET Cancer day, a worldwide effort to raise the profile of the disease. More information can be found on cnetscanada.org.
