Hi, my name is Brett Thoms, THE EQUITY’s new reporter. I am a soon-to-be-graduate from the Algonquin College Journalism program. I look forward to working for THE EQUITY and the Pontiac community.

The reason I want to be a journalist is to serve the public. I am passionate about truth and civic participation, which I hope to bring to my work here. THE EQUITY’S mission of serving its community by keeping it informed appeals to me and I look forward to getting to know the issues of the region. Hopefully my work here can contribute to making the Pontiac a better place.
