FORT COULONGE

A Fort Coulonge man was arrested in a series of drug raids throughout the Outaouais by police on April 7 which targeted . . .

the Devils Ghosts motorcycle club. Police say a tip from the public in October sparked an investigation that culminated in these search warrants.

Officers from the Sûreté du Québec and Gatineau Police searched a total of eight residences and eight vehicles, including one on rue Dempsey in Fort Coulonge, several locations in Gatineau and one in Kazabazua. They seized 3.5 kilos of cocaine, $82,000 in cash, seven vehicles, a loaded handgun, a conductive energy weapon, a bulletproof vest, brass knuckles, 10 cell phones and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Seven men between the ages of 26 and 56, as well as a 42 year-old woman, were arrested and released pending court appearances in Gatineau. They face numerous drug trafficking and firearms-related offences.
