SHAWVILLE Nov. 1, 2019
Stedman’s V&S in Shawville was packed on . . .
Friday night for the fourth annual Ladies night celebration. Women and girls perused the expanse of the store, sampling the food and drinks provided. The evening ran from six to nine, and every guest was given a gift before departing.
“We try to always do it the first Friday of November, so that we are in advance of the Christmas season, it just gives people the chance to stay home, shop a little bit, get some basics, it’s good for everybody, ” said store manager Rhonda Meisner. “I just figured it’s a good social thing to do, a good get-together.”
Meisner said that they had more than 170 people sign up for this year’s event, and before long, a queue from the cash register was snaking it’s way around the perimeter of the store.
