A head-on collision involving two vehicles occurred on Hwy. 148 east on Oct. 4, at approximately 4:00 p.m., near the 6th concession road in Clarendon.
According to Shawville-Clarendon fire department chief Lee Laframboise, two trucks were dispatched to the scene, where the jaws of life had to be used to extract one of the drivers.
SQ spokesperson Marc Tessier reported that the vehicle heading westbound deviated from its lane and hit the vehicle driving eastward.
Both drivers were sent to hospital, according to the SQ which reports one driver received minor injuries, and the other sustained more serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed until approximately 11:00 p.m. while investigators were on the scene to analyze the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
