A family of seven lost their home in Clarendon on Saturday evening.

The family was unhurt but the four adults and three children lost their home and left with only the clothes on their backs.

One of the family’s cats reportedly died in the fire and another was injured.

The fire occurred on C 183 11th Concession.

“It was totally in flames when we got there,” said Fire Chief Lee Laframboise of the Shawville-Clarendon Fire Department. “It was a bad day”

While the family had a place to go, they lost everything, according to Laframboise.

The cause of the fire was not deemed criminal by the authorities.
