MUNICIPALITY OF PONTIAC Feb. 5, 2021

A 71 year-old drunk driver was apprehended by police in the Municipality of Pontiac at around three in the afternoon on Feb. 5.

According to MRC des Collines Police, the driver was arrested shortly after damaging a mailbox on Mountain Road and getting his van and trailer stuck in a ditch. He managed to extricate himself, but his trailer was badly damaged.

When he was stopped, the driver had more than twice the legal blood alcohol limit in his system. He will appear in court on May 5.
