Fire crews were called out to a property on rue Queen in Shawville early Saturday morning to respond to a vehicle on fire.

Shawville Clarendon Fire Chief Lee Laframboise said . . .

that he received the call to 330 rue Queen just before 7 a.m. on July 18, and found the car fully engulfed when they arrived. He said that the heat from the fire began to melt the siding on the house, which had to be removed.

Since the scene was just a stone’s throw from the fire hall, Laframboise said they had the situation under control in a little over an hour.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
