According to a press release issued by the municipality of Campbell’s Bay, on Dec. 20, the town has decided to . . .

permanently shut down its communal library. Officially closed for good on Jan. 1, the decision came after the adoption of the town’s 2020 provisional budget, it stated. With the library already closed during the holidays, residents who had borrowed books were called on to return them by Jan. 7.
