Sûreté du Québec (SQ) officers in the MRC Pontiac arrested four people in the first week of April on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to a press release published last week.
In each incident, the driver was stopped, and after routine checks, was placed under arrest and driven to the hospital to do a blood test. They were released thereafter. Their vehicles were towed.
The drivers were:
• 20-year-old man from Mansfield, stopped around 8 p.m. on Apr. 4 on rue des Pins in Mansfield.
• 29-year-old man from Chapeau, stopped around 3:30 a.m. on Apr. 4 at the River Road intersection on Allumette Island
• 31-year-old man from Fort Coulonge, stopped around 4 p.m. on Apr. 6 on rue Principale in Fort Coulonge
• 61-year-old woman from Mansfield, stopped around noon on Apr. 7 on Highway 148 in Mansfield.
The four drivers must appear in front of Campbell’s Bay court at a future date, and could face charges of driving under the influence.
