As part of the national concerted operation Sharing the Road, all police services will increase awareness activities from Oct. 22 to 28. The theme is “For safe travel, remember to share the road.” Its goal is to remind drivers of the importance of not only respecting the law but also creating safe habits on the road.
In addition to that, the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) is also organizing an awareness campaign around the same theme that will go on to Nov. 14.

The SAAQ is taking advantage of this period to launch a new component of its awareness campaign on sharing the road that began last spring.
This campaign aims to remind road users that it is important to be considerate and to look out for each other, as everyone has a role to play in ensuring harmonious cohabitation and avoiding accidents. Behind every road user, there is a human being who has a life to protect. We are all part of the same family on the road. Messages to this effect are being broadcast on television and social media until November 14, 2021.
