Pontiac small businesses will be able to access $352,039 in new funds and contributions from the SADC Pontiac, courtesy of the Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED).

The funding was announced in a Nov. 5 video conference with Pontiac MP Will Amos and Argenteuil—La Petite-Nation MP Stéphane Lauzon that featured . . .

funding announcements for other SADCs within the Outaouais.

The new funding is being titled FARR 2.0 and it is intended for business projects that focus on adapting to COVID-19.

According to SADC Pontiac director general Rhonda Perry, more than half of the sum will be loans while the rest will be contributions that train businesses in acclimating themselves to the online market. Businesses can begin applying loans and contributions immediately by reaching out to the SADC.

Amos said in a press release that he is glad to see the SADC assisting small businesses through the current reality of having to recover from the economic impact of COVID-19.

“They have been able to help many SMEs overcome the crisis and operate in a new business environment,” he said. “I am delighted that their expertise is once again being called on to support entrepreneurs in our communities.”
