Wyman Women’s Institute Cook Book – Coleslaw

This week we are continuing our dive into the Wyman Women’s Institute Cook Book, published on the occasion of the group’s 60th anniversary in 1973. With barbeque season just around the corner, (or already in session with the weather lately) this week’s recipe is two slightly different variations on coleslaw. Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to the vinegar and oil ratios, so you can try the versions here or experiment and come up with your own. Be careful though, eyeballing the amount of vinegar is a dangerous game (speaking from experience). As always, if you recognize a recipe from either your grandparents’ kitchen or from your own, please write to us. We would love to hear about how these recipes have lived on. Or, if you have any recipes you would like to share with us, don’t hesitate to reach out.
