The water advisories that were placed in effect earlier in the month for residents of Shawville and some of Clarendon have . . .

officially been lifted as of June 26.

The Municipality of Shawville announced on June 26, 2020, that the boil advisory issued on June 1 and the water usage restriction advisory issued on June 22 are no longer in effect.

The advisories were put into place due to maintenance on spring water collection equipment and preventative procedures on the water tower and wells respectively.

The maintenance normally takes place earlier in the year, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the work was pushed back. Measures have been completed and residents can return to regular water usage.
