The Equity

Dear Editor,

Surprise, surprise — on Aug. 14, a payment for $500 was deposited into my bank account.

This borrowed money is simply a bribe from the Liberal Government to buy my vote. I am disgusted. I do not want nor need this money. There are seniors who do and if this had been needs based, I and many others would approve.

One would hope that your readers are in the process of scrutinizing the record of the Liberal Party over the last six years.

Start with the electoral form that did not happen, Trans Mountain Pipe Line, the firing of Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott, SNC Lavalin, Mark Norman, proroguing Parliament, the We Charity scandal, vaccine procurement and the debt owed by each and every Canadian, to name a few.

Sadly, the future of my grandchildren and great-grandchildren and indeed the children of today starts out with debt that must be paid back. This government’s spending of our money is out of control. Do your homework before you cast your ballot. Do not let your vote be bought.

 A worried Canadian.

Sandra D. Barber, Luskville, Que.
