Pedestrian traffic took over Shawville’s Main Street on Saturday for the first street market of the summer season.

The town was abuzz with life as curious shoppers browsed wares from around 30 vendors, selling everything from freeze-dried foods to photographs to a BBQ lunch.

Natasha Beardsley, who ran the Bristol Bee Honey table and also lent a hand organizing the market, said she was pleased with the turnout from the community.

“As a vendor I am always overwhelmed by the community support,” she said. “The feedback from other vendors at this market was also very positive, and I have always found Shawville very supportive of local events of this sort.”
