On Feb. 17, the Otter Lake Golden Age Club held their 15th annual Valentine’s dinner at the local R.A. Hall, attracting 150 people decked out in red.
Club President Janet Lafleur explained that her organization works to provide local seniors with activities and social events. The Valentine’s dinner is one of the bigger gatherings in the annual lineup.

“It’s good for seniors to socialize and make a little profit for our club at the same time,” she said.
The roast beef meal along with all the fixings attracted attendees from Ottawa to Kazabazua and everywhere in between. Before the meal began, Lafleur thanked the volunteers behind the buffet line and the bar for all their dedication.
“Without volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to make this happen,” she said.
Following the meal, attendees were wowed by the musical skills of the Al Visser band.
