Gathered at Le Patro, family and friends came to celebrate Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day.

The Equity and said it’s a great way to get family and friends to enjoy the outdoors. The celebration included live music, a bouncy castle, face painting, games and a water slide. They were also serving cotton candy, drinks, and burgers.
Along with celebrating Quebec’s Saint-Jean-Baptiste, it also was the opening of the day camp that Le Patro holds every summer.
Monica Soucie was out with her family, and said it has been great to be back enjoying outdoor events. “It’s a family event that we always come with family. There are all sorts of activities and splash pad slides, the kids really enjoy it. And today especially it’s really nice out and I think its the first time this year we have a musician so that’s great,” said Soucie.
Sandra Boisvert who was there with her family said she enjoys celebrating this holiday as a proud Quebecois and loves coming to Le Patro to spend the day watching the kids play and have fun. “I like to be with my family,” she said.
“It’s a good place for kids, I got a lot of grandkids and there’s nine of them here,” said Dan Lefebvre.
Lise Soucie, who was serving cotton candy to the kids highlighted that she enjoyed being at an in-person event, and after two years of not seeing people she said “we needed this.”
Many shared that it was the perfect hot summer day to be outdoors enjoying a drink watching their kids and grandkids playing and celebrating this holiday together.
