On Aug. 19, the Shawville Rotary Club made a donation of $1,050 to the charity Sleeping Children, represented by volunteer Jean Macnab. The money will purchase 30 bed kits for children in . . .
underdeveloped countries, which include a pillow, sleeping mat, sheet and mosquito net. The kits are assembled and distributed in the same country, and they are adapted to the region’s specific needs. Sleeping Children currently works in countries like Bangladesh, Kenya and India, among many others.
