The Shawville Curling Club was packed this past week, as the Community Bonspiel came roaring back for . . .

its 45th year. Dozens of teams, divided into eight divisions based on skill level, took to the ice to compete for the famous Toilet Seat Trophy. Winners will be announced when the spiel wraps up this Sunday.

The 45th annual Community Bonspiel packed the Shawville Curling Club this past week, with 46 teams competing against friends, neighbours and co-workers. Shane Presley and Reg Carkner entertained attendees once they got off the ice on Saturday night and will be playing again on Feb. 8.
