A section of Rte. 301 near Thorne has been temporarily closed and a significant new detour is in place.
The intersection of . . .
Rte. 301 and chemin Crawford closed following an inspection of a culvert. The Ministry of Transport deemed the culvert unsafe to the public and closed the road as a preventative measure.
The closure occurred on May 27 and will remain in place for an indefinite amount of time while work is done to replace the culvert.
A significant road detour has been established via rtes. 148 and 303. The ministry described the detours as “considerable” and advised travelers to plan their trips ahead of time. More information can be found from Quebec 511.
