Construction work is ongoing in Quyon to repair . . .

water lines along rue Saint John and rue Saint Andrew.

The work began on June 1 and according to Pierre Said, director general for the Municipality of Pontiac, it should be fully completed by the end of July.

The company contracted for construction is TGC Inc. and the funds supporting the $1.7 million project come from a gas tax credit that combines both federal and provincial government grants.

The municipality had prioritized these two streets for main line repairs throughout various inspections over the past decade, with the most recent inspection coming in 2015.

The main water line in Quyon on rue Saint John and rue Saint Andrew is undergoing repairs until the end of July. The work has been planned by the Municipality of Pontiac for several years now.
