Pontiac trio scores Lieutenant Governor’s medals

Two Pontiac residents were among the 35 Outaouais recipients of the Lieutenant Governor’s Medal for volunteerism at a ceremony in Gatineau on Saturday morning. According to the pamphlet given to attendees, École secondaire Sieur-de-Coulonge student Phoenix Bérubé (left) was nominated for volunteer work at the school including “preparing meals, supporting events and contributing to inclusive initiatives,” while Janet Walls’ contribution to the Otter Lake 50+ Club over the past 23 years has included “organizing activities, hosting events, and securing grants to extend the club’s impact to schools, nonprofits, healthcare, and her church.” Bristol resident Deb Powell also received a medal, as previously reported by THE EQUITY.
