Two arrested for drug trafficking

Also on April 15, Sûreté du Québec seized multiple drugs at a residence on Hwy 148.
After a search of the residence, the police seized 75 methamphetamine tablets, approximately 30 grams of cocaine, approximately 260 grams of cannabis, more than five grams of cannabis wax, about 10 grams of hashish, about 20 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, about 170 prescription pills, and more than $19,000 as well as various other items related to drug trafficking, according to their press release.
In addition to the drug bust, the police arrested two suspects for alleged drug trafficing. The 32-year-old man and 58-year-old woman are suspected to be involved in drug trafficking.
Charges have yet to be released.

21-year old speeds past police officers

On April 13 around 6:15 a.m., Sûreté du Québec arrested a 21-year-old man from Campbell’s Bay who refused to stop after being clocked for speeding.
The driver was caught speeding on Hwy 148 in Bristol, a short chase ensued on the 148 eastbound.
Police were able to stop the vehicle on Baird Road in Bristol. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and later released on a promise to appear in court.
He is scheduled to return to court at a later date at the Campbell’s Bay Courthouse, according to the press release.
The young man could face charges of flight, he will also receive a $1,613 ticket and 18 demerit points for speeding at 175 km/h in a 90 km/h zone. His driver’s licence was suspended for seven days and his car was towed.
