Dec. 30, 2019

On Dec. 30, members of the Bristol Community Association (BCA) laid the first fresh sheet of ice on . . .

the outdoor rink in Norway Bay, making it effectively open for the season.

According to the rink’s attendant, Tracey Moore, bringing it to life was the collaboration of dozens of residents who offered a hand, whether it was shoveling snow, flooding the surface or preparing the nets for the season.

Moore said that the BCA regularly posts notifications regarding the rink’s conditions on Facebook along with red and green flags, letting skaters know if it’s open for business.
