CAMPBELL’S BAY

Feb. 17, 2020

On Feb. 17, the newly selected Pontiac Youth Council for 2020 was announced at the MRC office in Campbell’s Bay. Though there was a low turnout, the show . . .

carried on and MRC Warden Jane Toller introduced each of the five members in attendance and gave them MRC Pontiac pins.

The council currently has 12 members, but Toller said she would like to grow to 18, and noted that they had included Karim El Kerch from Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi du Pontiac in order to ensure the council meetings were held in both French and English.

“Although I am almost bilingual, the meetings will be 50/50,” she said. “This year we have really good representation from our French population.”

The group’s next meeting is scheduled for March 10 at 7 p.m.

The full council is as follows; Victoria Vickers (L’Isle-aux-Allumettes), Miguel Rivet (Litchfield), Haillee Hamelin Dorzek (Bristol), Madison Park Moorhead (Litchfield), Madison Pilon (Litchfield), Grace Sally (Clarendon), Jacob Chénier (Waltham), Cédrick Morrissette (Mansfield), Myriame Landry (Campbell’s Bay), Alexandria Ladouceur (Fort Coulonge), Pénéloppe Pomminville (Calumet Island) and Sébastien McComeau (Fort Coulonge).
