The Campbell’s Bay RA Hall was packed on Saturday evening for a long-standing fundraiser in support of the local branch of the Lions Club.

The Pontiac Lions hosted their annual Murder Mystery evening, with this year’s production going for a casino theme. A dinner prior to the night’s entertainment was catered by Billy T’s Pizza.

Actors from the club, along with community members, portrayed four scenes for the nearly 200 guests in the hall, complete with chorus girls and foreign billionaires.

“The tables [of guests] have to figure out the who, what, why and when of the murder. Just like Clue,” explained Club President Frank Frost prior to the show. “We all participate as a group. Some of us are acting, the rest of us are working the bar, tickets, everything.”

Frost said that about six Lions of the 18 in their club were acting in the show, while the rest saw to other details.

He added that the murder mystery is one of their more popular events on the calendar and is quite important for the club in terms of fundraising.
