MRC Pontiac Warden Jane Toller presented Bouffe Pontiac Director Kim Laroche with a cheque for $10,000 on Dec. 2, which was agreed upon as a donation by the MRC at the Nov. 25 council meeting. Laroche said that the annual holiday food drive that would have taken place on Dec. 3 had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, meaning the food bank would have lost out on $10,000 to $15,000 worth of food. Thanks to the MRC donation, Laroche said they will be able to manage the demands of the holiday season.
