A 63-year-old Clarendon man died after a branch fell on him as he was cutting down a tree on a property in Thorne. Officers from the Sûrete du Québec arrived on the scene on Brouse Road on August 7 around 11 a.m. after the man was able to call for help. He was transported to the hospital, where it was reported that he succumbed to his injuries. A coroner has been notified. Police say they do not suspect foul play.
