Dozens of costumed trick-or-treaters came out to rue Main in Shawville to get some bonus midday candy. The sun shone brightly as business owners along the street set up tables outside their buildings with treat bags and bowls full of chips and candy to give out. Not only were . . .

the kids dressed up, but some of the business owners donned their costumes to bring Halloween cheers and fears. Even Brooklyn Place, which closed for the season in September, was decked out and giving out some sweet treats.

Grace and Claire Pasch came to rue Main all dressed up with their parents Josh and Molly to take part in the trick-or-treating event on Oct. 31.
Isla, Dean and Jude Pawlett had some family fun while trick-or-treating with parents Justin and Taylor on rue Main.
Volunteer Kathy Peck and Heather Sly, librarian at the Shawville Clarendon Library, dressed up as pirates to give out treats to trick-or-treaters on rue Main.
Alexi and Mathis Dupuis and Jayden Wagner brought a mix of creepy and cool to Shawville’s trick-or-treat event on Halloween.
