L’Isle-aux-Allumettes held its annual Islandfest last weekend in Chapeau. The event saw a wide variety of events starting Friday night. These included live music, a baseball tournament, a reptile show, a waterslide, a dunk tank, food, a clown show an obstacle course, a touch-a-truck and more.

“I think it’s important to get the community together because we’re very close knit, there is a lot of relatives here, big families, so it’s nice for me to get together after ‘the break’,” said Chantal Lair, the community development coordinator on L’Isle-aux-Allumettes.
