Patrons of the Hotel Pontiac enjoyed a view of the river and live music from TheSandBand alongside their meals on Sunday night.
The band performed from atop the Hotel Pontiac’s new stage, which opened in early July. The stage is used to host live music Friday through Sunday, but also allows for other events, such as trivia nights on Tuesdays.
Trevor Miller, owner of Hotel Pontiac, said that while they’ve always had live music, the stage helps not only with social distancing between the bands and patrons, but also creates a more enjoyable experience and atmosphere.
“It’s a better venue for the band and for customers,” said Miller. “And now we have the opportunity to do more things.”
The hotel also rents rooms and cottages, which Miller says will be open until mid-September.
