On Thursday night the Shawville Minor Fastball League Championship game for the 13-17 age group was held at the Shawville R.A. field with Quyon facing off against Shawville 2. The home team prevailed and took the game 13-3, just as the rain began to come down in earnest. Shawville 2 coach Roger Younge said that the whole team played well and pitcher Evan Atkinson pitched his best game of the year when it counted most.
