Earlier this month, the Quebec minister of municipal affairs and housing, Andrée Laforest, announced the. . .

financial assistance program for municipal buildings (PRABAM) to help Quebec municipalities renovate infrastructure.

The program will invest $90 million into Quebec municipalities with fewer than 5,000 residents. The money is to be used to help renovate community centres and municipal infrastructure, such as town halls, fire stations, municipal warehouses and other services or gathering spaces.

“Our government is therefore contributing directly to improving the condition of municipal buildings and the services offered to citizens, while boosting the economic recovery of the regions,” said Laforest in a press release.

The press release does not provide details of how this funding will be used or distributed.
