On April 28, the Shawville Curling Club hosted it’s year-end banquet for the evening leagues, bringing out over 100 people. In honour of the NHL’s draft lottery, attendees were asked to sport the jerseys of their favorite hocky teams and many obliged.
Following a meal of barbeque chicken and ribs, the doling out of awards began, hosted by MC and Club President Jeff Russell who was decked out in his own Don Cherry-style blazer.
In addition to the trophies, there were several team jerseys to be raffled off, from the New England Patriots to the Edmonton Oilers.
Awards were as follows:

Hayes Trophy – skip Joe Morris, third Andrew Rowat, second Tom Fahey and lead Vaughn Bastien.
Mountainview Trophy – skip James Howard, third Joey Hannaberry, second Gerry Ireland and lead Caleb Nickerson.
Pat Lid Trophy – skip Bucky Harris, third Joey Hannaberry, second Richard Guillerm and lead Caleb Nickerson
Club Shield – skip Bucky Harris, third Joey Hannaberry, second Richard Guillerm and lead Caleb Nickerson.
Senior – skip Joe Morris, third James Howard, second Rick Younge and lead Joey Hannaberry.
Intermediate – skip Jeff Russell, third Jerry Hannaberry and second Chris MacKechnie.
Junior – skip Roger Younge, third Kevin Hannaberry, second Vaughn Bastien and lead Justin Zimmerling.
Men’s Competitive – skip James Howard, third Todd Kline, second Glen Leach and lead Keith MacLellan.
Steve Allen Trophy – skip Joe Morris, third Josh Armitage, second Rick Younge and lead Gerry Ireland.
Art Kilgour Trophy – skip Brett MacKechnie, third Jerry Hannaberry, second Andrew Rowat and lead John Alexander.
K&L Dairy Trophy – Wade Ellison, Jeff Hannaberry, Joey Hannaberry and Gord Graham.
