The 2020 Pontiac Country Fair has been cancelled as the Outaouais has had to roll back allowed gathering numbers with the recent shift into . . .

the orange alert stage of COVID-19 precautions.

The fair was scheduled to take place over Thanksgiving weekend from Oct 10-12 at the Luskville Falls Trail parking area in Gatineau Park.

The market-style event has been hosted by the Municipality of Pontiac (MoP) in collaboration with the National Capital Commission (NCC) since 2014.

“Effectively the Pontiac Country Fair is cancelled because of the government measures,” explained Geneviève Latulippe, MoP assistant director general.

The updated gathering limits for the region regarding public activities such as barbeques, picnics, etc. is now 25 people, which Latulippe said prevents them from hosting the country fair.
