The Pontiac Senior Comets faced off against the Cornwall Prowlers on Saturday night in front of a crowd of more than 300 people. The Comets gave their visitors a thrashing, following up on their 7-5 win on the road against the Prowlers Oct. 20.
With all the energy in the stands, the Comets came out strong in the first period. Guillaume Grégoire and Adrian Moyes netted one apiece and the stands showed their appreciation.

The Comets continued to build on the lead in the second period, with Mitchell Gibson, Daniele Dissipio and Stéphane Paré each notching one against the beleaguered Cornwall squad.
The Prowlers showed some heart in the third period, responding with a goal seven minutes in. Paré clapped back two minutes later with his second goal of the game – and seventh of the season.
The Cornwall boys managed another but it was too little, too late and the final score was 6-2 for the home team.
The Comets now sit in fourth place in the league. Their next home game will be on Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. against the Cumberland Bandits.
