On March 19, representatives from the Centre intégré de santé et des services sociaux de l’Outaouais (CISSSO) held a career fair at the Shawville Lion’s Club. As Human Resources coordinator Nadine Courchesne explained, CISSSO is the largest employer in the Outaouais with over 10,000 employees and is constantly hiring for a wide variety of jobs.
We had a lot of people looking for cleaning, laundry, kitchen, PSW …” she said. “We have lot of retirements [coming] in the next few years, we’re going to need more staff.”
She added that all kinds of spaces need to be filled, from administrative assistants to support staff in addition to front-line medical professions.
Though they typically hold a job fair in the spring, Couchesne said that those interested can apply online any time of the year.
