SHAWVILLE Aug. 30, 2020

A bullet was fired through the window of a Shawville home on Aug. 30 while the residents were . . .

out running errands.

Jill Hobbs Tracy, the homeowner, posted pictures of the aftermath on Facebook upon returning home.

According to her post, the bullet came through the window frame before hitting the wall and bouncing to the floor. She said she was lucky to be out, as the room where the bullet entered is a main lounging spot.

THE EQUITY reached out to Tracy for comment, but she did not respond in time for print.

Sûreté du Québec Spokesperson Sgt. Marc Tessier told THE EQUITY on Aug. 31 that police were called to the residence at 6 p.m. on Sunday to inspect the situation.

He said that there were no suspects currently and that they had no further information for the public.
