SHAWVILLE May 23, 2019
On Thursday, the Pontiac Agricultural Society released the entertainment lineup for the 2019 Shawville Fair, which is shaping up to be a year for the books.
Friday night is typically reserved for rock acts to bring in a younger crowd and this year the main stage will be graced by Juno nominated rocker Sass Jordan and her bluesy-rock anthems.
Best known for 90s radio hits like “High Road Easy” and “Make You a Believer”, the Montreal-based performer will keep the energy high going into the weekend.
On Saturday Aug. 31, up and coming Saskatchewan-based country group The Hunter Brothers will strut their stuff. They will likely play some tracks from their sophomore album, State of Mind, which was released in January and features hits ““Those Were the Nights” and “Born and Raised.”
Ottawa Valley legend Wayne Rostad will be featured at the Fair in the afternoon on Sunday Sept. 1. Rostad is a singer, songwriter and one-man show that is sure to keep everyone entertained.
To close out the weekend, the headliner for Sunday evening will be none other than Canadian country star Brett Kissel. The recipient of numerous accolades from the Canadian Country Music Association, Kissel’s newest album We Were That Song features some interesting duets, including ones with country stalwart Charley Pride as well as Megadeath’s frontman Dave Mustaine.
More details about the fair schedule will be released closer to the Labour Day weekend.
