A woman has been arrested in connection to a fatal accident that claimed the life of a local community leader on Sept. 19.
On Dec. 16, police arrested a 22 year-old woman from Barry’s Bay Ont. for drug-impaired driving causing death. According to Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Sgt. Marc Tessier, she . . .
met with investigators and was released with a promise to appear with conditions.
The accident took place in Mansfield et Pontefract at around 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 19. The accused was driving an SUV and was in the process of turning onto Hwy. 148 from rue Poirier when her vehicle collided with a motorcycle driven by Sylvain Bégin, 50, of Mansfield et Pontefract.
