So sorry to hear of the passing of Bryan Murray. This guy put Shawville on the map. I still remember him as my gym teacher at Shawville High School and the coach of the basketball team whenever I was a cheerleader. He fought a courageous battle against cancer and he will be missed by family and friends.
Our little Westie Bella just had four beautiful pups. It is really funny how protective she is but that’s good.
Well it’s time of year again for the apples to be ready. My apples are falling on the ground and we are collecting a small pail every day to feed to the horses. I will soon have to put some away for apple pies.
I bought some blueberry plants and I was very impressed with how healthy they were. They have been producing blueberries already. I never checked at Kelly’s in Shawville but next year I will as I want to plant some more since blueberries are so expensive to buy.
Well it will soon be time for the Shawville Fair. I will be going to see the horse shows.
I spent a week at my daughter’s in Orleans, Ont., while my daughter and her husband went to Newfoundland. It was nice staying with my grand-daughter. We had lots of laughs.
I will be so glad to have my gallbladder operation the end of August as I had another attack this Sunday. Anyone who has had an attack will tell you it’s not nice.
