I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the person who reported the smell of smoke on Oct. 19 in Otter Lake. Thanks to your quick action, a fire was discovered and prevented from spreading further.

I am also deeply grateful to the 18 firefighters of the Otter Lake fire department for your fast and courageous response. Your dedication keeps our community safe.

We truly appreciate your service.
