The Cooperative Hélianthe, a non-profit organization, welcomes you to the beach and offers a wide range of activities for Pontiac residents and visitors. Guillaume Lavoie-Harvey is the President of the Cooperative Hélianthe and main coordinator of activities at the Pont Blanc beach for 2023.
The beach is now open for the season. A special mat has been installed and the Coopertive has aquired a floating wheelchair to allow people with reduced mobility to get onto the beach and into the water.
This equipment is available free of charge upon . . .
reservation. The beach is also equipped with two docks and safety markers for children.
Pont Blanc beach also offers camping sites for visitors. A total of 50 sites are available for small caravans or campers. The site is equipped with sanitary facilities including bathrooms and showers accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The Axe Throwing Center is open on Friday and Saturday evenings, without reservation, between 6 and 10 pm.
An axe-throwing league for women only is currently in preparation. A men’s league is also in the pipeline.
The Cooperative also rents out equipment such as canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and inflatable canoes for the Lazy River activity. The organization also offers a local shuttle service for the Rivière Coulonge upon request.
