O’Malley’s Equipment celebrated its official opening day in Shawville this past Monday. A store specializing in the sale, repair and rental of outdoor work equipment, O’Malley’s Equipment’s newly opened storefront is located at 31 Victoria Avenue.

been hard at work setting up the storefront and receiving inventory. O’Malley and his team have likewise already sold and repaired some equipment, with an influx in demand correlating directly with the region’s recent icestorm.

O’Malley’s Equipment retails brands such as STIHL, Hustler Turf, Milwaukee, Oregon and Briggs & Stratton.

“I’ve always been interested in this stuff,” said O’Malley. “I’ve always liked tinkering on small engines, lawn mowers and different things like that. Aside from that I’ve always wanted to run my own business. So it’s everything I was interested in put into one.”

According to O’Malley, himself and his team are interested in requests from the public regarding products for purchase and rental they would like to see carried at the store.

“We want to be the one stop shop for the contractors and the forestry guys,” said O’Malley.
